The details
Astra Grading and Pipe has completed installing a steel sleeve and building a conflict box around an existing 20” water main directly in the path of the new storm line and has started laying pipe again on East Trinity Place.
The impact
Once the work turns onto East Howard Avenue, East Trinity will be paved and re-opened with the same three lanes of traffic. New sidewalks, streetlights and a heavy duty driveway for Fire Station No. 1 will complement the work on East Trinity Place.
How to manage
Two-way vehicle traffic, along with pedestrian and driveway access, will generally be maintained as the work continues, though flagman/directional efforts may cause minor delays. McDonough Street to the west and Commerce Drive to the east both provide alternate northbound routes into the city.
