Street Repair and Traffic Calming Work Begins June 15

The impact

Assuming good weather, H.E.H. Paving, Inc., a contractor operating on behalf of the city, will begin work Monday, June 15 on the following streets: Wilton Drive from Clairemont Avenue to Oakland Street; Greenwood Avenue from West College Avenue to the dead end; and East and West Benson Street from Oakview Road to the dead end.

This work includes all necessary milling, patching, resurfacing, repairing of deficient sidewalks, and installation of new speed tables.

Also included in the scheduled work is the installation of traffic calming interventions within the Parkwood neighborhood. Specific design details can be found here.

Notifications will be provided on each street 3 days in advance of the start of construction. All vehicles must be removed from the street from 7am to 6pm each day that work is being performed. Vehicles parked on the street during posted times are subject to towing. Watch for notifications on affected streets.

A map of all affected areas is below. Striping work shown is scheduled to take place next month. Click for larger view.
