While the driveway at Fire Station No. 1 is being rebuilt, the Decatur Fire Department will stage its fire engines from the alley between Scott Park and Decatur Library.
The impact
When answering an emergency call, fire engines will depart from the alley onto Sycamore Street. The driveway construction is expected to take 7-10 days.
How to manage
General awareness is all that’s required in this instance. Emergency response will continue with no reduction in service.
