The impact
A segment of Talley Street adjacent to Talley Street Upper Elementary will be closed for roughly one month so that new utility connections can be made. This closure is expected as soon as neighboring properties have been notified directly.
Work should conclude prior to the reopening of school, should City Schools of Decatur choose to do so.
How to manage
All driveways will remain accessible via Sams Street. Pedestrians will be routed to the south side of Talley Street during the closure. A map of the affected area is below (click for larger view).
