South Candler Street Sidewalk Repairs Begin Week of June 13th

The details

The City of Decatur will begin sidewalk maintenance efforts on South Candler Street during the week of June 13th, including selective removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk panels and driveway aprons where there are structural or ADA deficiencies.

The overall project area includes the full length of South Candler Street within the city limits, between East College Avenue and East Pharr Road. However, the work will likely be phased, completing one block at a time, starting in the 100 block between East College Avenue and Winnona Drive, then proceeding south.

Work will be performed by the City’s contractors, Magnum Paving, LLC and Leachscapes, LLC.

How to manage

Residents will be contacted individually where vehicular access may be impacted. Every effort will be made to minimize impacts, but some disruptions should be expected. Your patience is appreciated as we work to improve Decatur’s sidewalks.
