The details
The intersection at E. Trinity Place, E. Howard Avenue, and the CSX rail line will be closed Friday through Sunday, April 7-9 to complete the grading and resurfacing associated with the reconstruction of the railroad crossing. This will allow the pavement to be raised, providing a gentler slope on the north side of the crossing and a more accessible path, particularly for persons in wheelchairs or those using strollers.
Parts of the PATH Foundation’s Stone Mountain Trail near the crossing will be closed to bicycle traffic as well.
How to manage
There will be no traffic through the Trinity-Howard-RR intersection during the closure, although access will be maintained for local businesses and residents. Consult the detour map below for greater detail and alternate routes (click image for larger view).
