The impact
Georgia Safe Sidewalks is expected to start sidewalk repairs throughout the city on Monday, November 1. Sidewalks included in this year’s repair program are: Sycamore Street, from Church Street to East Ponce de Leon Avenue; East Ponce de Leon Avenue to the city limits; West Ponce de Leon Avenue to the city limits; Merrill Avenue from Scott Boulevard to Coventry Road; and Third Avenue from East Lake Drive to Northern Street.
The work is expected to take about 3-4 weeks, weather permitting.
How to manage
Construction equipment may be present. Motorists should remain aware. Pedestrians watch for directional signage or indicators and take caution as necessary.
